Awesome Color @ Pilam
Awesome Color is playing at Pilam tonight. Should be a great show. Possibly one that will even upstage the Monotonix show last Friday? Awesome Color was signed by Thurston Moore (of Sonic Youth) to his label Ecstatic Peace. From my take on it, they sound a lot like Iggy Pop. The vocals at least are very similar. I’ve heard from others that they put on a very enaging live performace that includes hanging from rafters and leaping into the crowd with instruments. I’ve also heard that Awesome Color is comprised of kids, like 17 or 18 year olds. Talented litte fuckers, eh?
Awesome Color is joined by Note Killers, Dactyl, and Hot Guts. The show is $8, not like anyone who will read this will actually pay or care.
